Art
"For the textile work, Michelle Schmit continues her journey with the different shapes of our planet as a source of inspiration. Seasons, light, surface and vegetation continually produce new compositions in shape and color. She is also inspired by events in the world and her immediate environment.
• Material: natural materials are used as material for the textile work, such as alpacca wool, silk, merino wool, flax, cotton, algae and bamboo fiber
• Technique: by stitching together various loose materials, she builds a 'new fabric'; a hand-composed and assembled textile work."
